Installed Kubuntu 7.10 on my daughter's computer. I have to say that was the quickest install I've ever done. 3 hours to include partitioning, Install, updates, and then a few other install of packages. This includes an already functioning office suite! I have to occasionally, no frequently, do this at work but with Windoz. To install a fresh XP with all updates/reboots, and then installing Office, 8 hours!! Man, what a difference. Not to mention this is on a Dell Dem. 4100 Pent III 1GHz w/512MB RAM. That is the best that machine has ever run. No stutters, no freezes and Nexuiz runs like a charm!! Again, man!!!, what a difference.
