    Kubuntu crashes every day at 10am!

    Hello All,
    (I hope this is the right place to post this issue.)

    For the last few months my kubuntu installation hangs every day around 10am. The screen freezes and I can't even ssh remotely into the machine.
    I've recently upgraded from Feisty, but that hasn't made a difference :-(

    Having checked the system logs there is nothing out of the ordinary, in fact there are no enties for the exact time that the crash occurs.

    Has anyone come across this before?
    Or does anyone have any ideas how I could diagnose this further?

    Best Regards,
    Donal

    How totally bizarre... Checked your KCron?

      Just checked KCron and there are no entries in there for 10am. The closest I can see is a System CronTab entry that runs at 09:17 and 10:17 but the crashes occur between 10:02 and 10:04!:

      m h dom mon dow user command
      cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly

      I wonder is it something I've setup in my user account I may try logging out of Kubuntu before 10am and see if the system still hangs at the login screen.

      Regards,
      Donal
