Change from Ubuntu Gutsy to Kubuntu Gutsy

    Hi,
I installed Ubuntu Gutsy several months ago and have found that most of the apps that I like are K. So I'm considering the switch to Kubuntu.

However, I'm not certain of the best way. I have read many posts that seem to indicate that I can simply install Kubuntu from the cd and it won't wipe my hard drive. That doesn't seem possible. It also seems like I will then have 2 os's in a single partition, which doesn't seem smart.

    Advice/suggestions most appreciated.

    Thanks

If you're not an efficiency maniac, just open the Konsole (or whatever they call it in Gnome-land) and enter
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
This will install the entire Kubuntu meta-package. Then, when you reboot, you will have to choose the Session>type on the login screen, and just choose the KDE session to boot into KDE.
