I successfully installed Kubuntu in duel boot with Windows Xp, although when I try to load it I get an error when it tries to load the hardware drivers.
This is the specific error message:
"Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffffd310"
Theres a couple of them all pointing to different "virtual addresses"
Usually I just get something like:
[53.90266] =============
So, if anyone has any ideas on what I could do to fix this...enlighten me
Amazing! I was going to remove my graphics card because i figured that was what is causing the problem.
So I went into the BIOs and set the computer to load the onboard video instead of PCI. By the time I pluged the video cable into the other slot, Kubuntu had booted!
Although for some strange reason it didn't actually go into Kubuntu, but it did get past the loading screen. So I put in a Ubuntu Live CD, and selected start in Safe Graphics Mode, and it worked!
I'm so happy! I can ditch Windows now!
