I want to introduce a friend to the linux operating systems.
My idea was to give her an installation disk similar to an oem-disk that would directly install a certain set of packages, settings(fixed IP-address, hosts, email server, ...) and themes(splash screens, wallpaper etc.) through a guided or even fully automatic installation process.
Hence I do not have the same computer or even know its specifications, the plain oem-install method does not apply (afaik).
Now I wonder if there is a possibility to custom-tailor an installation medium that provides this features as well as up-to-date packages etc.
