    In recovery mode, starting Firestarter fails

    Ok, I did fool around a little bit. After installing Firestrater, I installed Guarddog, just to see how each one does things. Then, i rebooted in recovery mode and I had a message saying

    Starting the Forestarter firewall [fail]. Just after, Guarddog didn't find rc.firewall. So I thought that Guarddog, which I don't remember fully installing, was preventing Firestarter from functionning. so I did;

    apt-get remove guarddog --purge

    and the mention as the secure boot about Guarddog disappeared. But Firestarter still doesn't start and, just as previously, I get a root prompt and the computer is frozen dead. Impossible to write a single letter, only the reboot button gets it out of there.

    Strangely, when not in recovery mode, I receive no error message and when I go to KMenu => Settings => Firestarter, the firewall seems active and gives indication of inbound and outbound traffic.

    Any explanation?
