I've recently re-install gutsy, but the symptoms that I experienced prior
to the re-install appear to persist:
X crashes every once in a while. I've seen probably 3 distinct behaviors:
1)I get a debug message that the session manager has crashed and
then have to Ctrl-Alt-Bkspc to get KDM and log back in.
2)X becomes unresponsive and I Ctrl-Alt-Bkspc to KDM and log back in.
3)X shuts down without warning, taking me to the KDM login screen.
In each case, loggin back in is successful.
NOTE: I used feisty 64-bit prior to this. Did not have the same problem,
X seemed actually more stable -
but _did_ have a problem when I logged out and KDM itself crashed. That
was resolved by changing a setting in kdmrc, but I can't recall the setting.
Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks
Tim
