(Edited from original post, I thought Ubuntu LIve CD worked but it doesn't)
From a Kubuntu Live CD, which starts up fine, and shows me icons for my HD's, all I get is "fixed-mount-all-option refused uid 999" when I click on any HD icon.
I have searched the forums and seen this error reported a few times with little information on its cause. The fix seems to be command line stuff, but will I need to do that after I have installed? Every time? I really don't want to have to do that
Is this just a Live CD issue?
