when i tried to install wine i am getting some error

i have downloaded wine and tried to install but i am getting "Error : Dependency is not satisfiable :
binfmt-support "
i am using D2 processor with double boot (windows xp and linux)
please post me some solution

It's probably safer to install it via Adept or Synaptic, they will also install any required dependencies.

If you follow the instructions here

You can add WineHQ to your repositories. This sorts out dependencies and means you can have the latest version of wine via adept/synaptic as soon as it is released.
