I followed a suggestion to try kcontrol to get dual monitor working. As a result, after restarting the xserver it gives me a resolution of 640x400 or something and i cannot get a normal resolution back. The nvidia settings screen does not let me see the control to set resolution because that window is way to big for the screen now. So I can't reach that control.
I tried running krandrtray wich sets resulotion but it gives me nothing greater than 640x400 and so does system settings.
I tried booting on command line and moving xorg.conf to some other place, thinking I would get the default kubuntu resolution back, no go.
What can I do? Edit xorg.conf on the command line? If so, what editor do i use in bash. I am new to kubuntu, installed it only last week.
I'm pretty much stuck on windows now and will check here every few minutes for tips.
