unwanted busybox prompt after clumsy shutdown

Hi, I was a bit clumsy, I admit but anyway,
I added a smb mount in fstab and later on i guessed i don't have smbclient
then I did a shutdown, forgot to disable the smb mount
    the system sort of hung
after a ctrl/c or something and ctrl/alt/F1 i could logon and disabled the smbmount
    then a reboot

    After that i got
    (intramfs) busybox>

I have no clue how to fix this (other than start from scratch)
How do I get my system to boot normally?

Oh yes, there's this second possible cause, i did an update from the GUI and saw busybox menioned there also. This may also have caused something.

Is the whole error you receive?

There's no error, the system just boots into busybox.
busybox doesn't mount any disks (it boot's into memory) so there are no log files on the system.

Maybe someone has seen this before and knows how to undo this.
