/proc/bus/usb directory is empty

because the entry

usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults 0 0

is missing in /etc/fstab.

vmware will look into /proc/bus/usb/devices for identifying available usb devices.

how should this installation bug be reported.

(installation was done using the alternate DVD).

the installation was done using Gutsy Alternate DVD (because of setting up host based mirroring).
