I really like Linux, it'sjust a bit difficult. I've reinstalled Kubuntu and now I found Windows: Docu & Setting, Programs etc. but I can't open them. Like I can't open Nero software and my Iaudio mp3 player, but i managed to install Limewire yesterday. so some things work a others "still" not.
I keep trying and reading. Thanks for your time
    Cheers.
Then maybe what you need is configuring Grub. Right now I don't have the time (probably) to "walk you through" - have a look here:

As you have a working Kubuntu, you don't have to do the CD boot and starting grub - start from this:

Only read below if Windows is now missing from the boot menu

Try it, and let us hear what happens,

      Re: can't find xp

Even though you managed to be able to "see your Windows partition", you can't run the programs you see there. That isn't how things work.

If you want/need to run Windows programs, then you have three choices:
      1) configure your PC for dual-booting so you can select which OS to boot into - Windows or Linux, or
      2) Install Wine and then install Windows programs that are supported by Wine (not all Windows programs will/can be installed/run from within Wine), or
      3) Install either Virtualbox or VMware Player so you can create 'virtual machines' that can run inside of Linux "at the same time."

I have VMware Player installed, and have a WinXP virtual machine that runs the full WinXP OS, at the same time, and inside of, my running Feisty installation.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
