Update after instaling 7.10

Hi,
I've got a problem two days a go I've installed Kubuntu 7.10 on two computers and on both of them after installation adept update icon popped up on tray when I let it update after a while it says that it's ready for system upgrade (over 7.10??) if I just close it it still annoys me on the tray if I upgrade then on one computer it just says after a while that there was an error and my system is up to date but on second one it just hangs and if i close it system won't boot again after closing. I've installed it few times and tried few times to update but still same result. What should i do with it??

Starting with one of the systems, I would open the Kmenu>System>Konsole and enter the following:

sudo apt-get update

Let it finish downloading package headers, then

sudo apt-get install

Answer "Yes" to any questions about the size of the files, and observe any errors that it shows. If it proceeds through to finish, then do this:

sudo apt-get upgrade

sudo apt-get install

and let it install the upgrades, and record any errors that you see, and post them here so we can see what is happening. If there are errors, tell us about the hardware that you are installing Kubuntu on, and the size of the partitions that you made.

If it goes to completion without errors, then do the same on the other system.

Hmmm it went without any problems it just downloaded, then when installing proceeded it said 0 updated 0 new 0 deleted and 0 notupdateable.

sorry if my translation is crappy I use polish language and don't know how what it exactly says in English.

Now everything seems to work fine. It's strange for me because it kind of freak me out when i downloaded newest version CD and installed it and it wonted to update

Anyway huge thanks for help. Now it's working OK and doesn't request any upgrade.

Edit: Or maybe it's not working fine. When i want to change any option and switching to administrator mode it just asks me for a password and then red border shows for a few seconds then it just goes back to normal mode and i can't change any options

Edit: Amazingly after i came home today and run computer everything is all right. Just a little miracle.
