    Upgrade problems.

When I click that upgrade button to go from 7.04 I get this error

Failed to fetch http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/di...86/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Failed to fetch http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/di...86/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Failed to fetch http://media.blutkind.org/xgl/dists/...86/Packages.gz 301 Moved Permanently
Failed to fetch http://kubuntu.org/packages/koffice-...86/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Failed to fetch http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-l...86/Packages.gz 404 Not Found

That looks easy to fix, And there was like 3 times that many at first, I got rid of the rest of them. But for some reason these are very persistant.

Yes I did that, after a few iteration the "Full Upgrade" button stopped being an option, but no upgrade.

        Re: Upgrade problems.

        Okay. Good. The

is because the medibuntu site changed it's URL - what you are showing is not valid anymore.

Failed to fetch http://media.blutkind.org/xgl/dists/...86/Packages.gz 301 Moved Permanently
As the error is telling on this one, the URL got moved (new URL) and this one isn't valid any more.

Again, the specific URL isn't valid.

Yup, I was pretty sure that was it. And through the magic of guessing and trial and error I was able to turn a list of 15 of them into a list of about 5. But i can't figure out how to replace/repair/remove those.

Easy enough to 'remove' these. Open a console shell and type:
            Code:
            kdesu kate /etc/apt/sources.list
This will open the file in superuser mode. Delete each of the following entries:

            http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/di...86/Packages.gz http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/di...86/Packages.gz
            http://media.blutkind.org/xgl/dists/...86/Packages.gz http://kubuntu.org/packages/koffice-...86/Packages.gz http://kubuntu.org/packages/amarok-l...86/Packages.gz

Save and close. Open Adept Manager and click on Fetch Updates.

I cant find any of those in the list that opened in kate. So either I am illiterate. The update is happening from a different sources list. Or I just can't have nice things.

Hmmm. That, or the Upgrade actually updated the sources.list?

When you issue the command given, does Kate open with the sources.list file?
