Installation problems (vmware)

Hi all..

I want to install Kubuntu in a vmware environment but got some problems during the install. The installer just stops... Around 60-70% and then goes back to the desktop. I also tried with virtualbox (same as vmware).

Any ideas?

I do it the other way around, it just makes more sense but maybe this will help:

Have you solved your problem?

I had exactly the same problem and (stupid of me) it was the SCSI drive, run it on IDE drive instead and it should work.. it did for me..
