re: upgrade to Kubuntu 7.10 failed

    Hi,

Tried to upgrade Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10 beta through the adept manager and failed. Could not boot Kubuntu anymore. Restored Vista's bootloader everything is fine with Vista.

Do I have to delete Kubuntu partitions before installing Kubuntu 7.10 stable version or can I install over the mess that is already there? What do the kubuntu partitions look like in Vista?

    Thanks in advance

If you don't have any information you want to save in your old Kubuntu partition, you will need to format it before you do a fresh install of Gutsy. However, the installation CD (whether the Live CD or the Alternate CD) automatically formats it for you, just be sure you specify which partitions you want it to format manually, or you may wind up formatting your Vista partition as well :P

I'm afraid I cannot tell you how the Kubuntu partitions look in Vista, sorry
