asx sound files does not played , How to solve it

I want to play asx files and live stream (as radio and tv from net )

but i cann't ,

I use mplayer , xine , but does not play permentally

which program or codec or packages can play asx and live stream radio or tv

Perhaps try VLC. It seems to play most things.

At least, it does on mine.
