Very Unstable Kubuntu Gutsy

Hi,

I have just installed Kubuntu Gutsy on my Acer Aspire 5672 Laptop and after 30 minutes I am very unimpressed, I have had more crashed than I had in the entire 6 months with Fiesty, Kopete (3 crashes so far), Adept (4 crashes so far).

Has anyone else had this sort of problem or know how to solve it, as I am currently thinking about re-installing Fiesty as I know it was very stable.

Just a thought - were you connected to the net when you installed? It downloads and installs something (language, i think) at the time.

If you were, have you updated with Adept or Synaptic yet? there may well be updates available which will cure the problem.

I don't know if this will help - i'm pretty new myself.

I had already applied all the updates and still having problems, I guess I will just have to see if any updates are released that fix the problems.

On another note, does anyone know how to get volume buttons working on a laptop, on Kubuntu Fiesty they worked fine after installing OS, but on Gutsy if I press vol down I get 0% and vol up gives me 11% and nothing more.
