I tried to install Gutsy today, but all I get when booting from the CD is a kernel panic and "/sbin/modprobe abnormal exit" somewhere after loading some IDE modules.
I had Feisty running on my system without problems, so this came very unexpected.
From Google I found some bugreports about error this under Feisty, but that seemed all about SATA or certain RAIDS, but all I have is an ordinary NVidia Nforce2 motherboard, about 2 or 3 years old.
Without even being able to boot the installation media Gutsy came out rather useless for me :-(
Any hints?
