Adept says read only when i start it up...

When i start up my adept in feisty fawn to upgrade it to gutsy, I get this message:

Read Only mode: Database Locked

You will not be able to change your system settings in any way (install, remove or upgrade software), because another process is using the packaging system database (probably some other Adept application or apt-get or aptitude). Please close the other application before using this one.

This started happening after I tried to upgrade KDE to the latest version, and got an error message in the middle of the installation. I have tried to look in the process-table, but I can't find out what process is using the packagiing system.

In a console window, try

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Then

sudo apt-get install

then

sudo apt-get autoclean

If you see "action", then probably it is fixed. Try opening Adept Manager again.
