Kernek Panic after upgrade

Hi friends,

I have upgraded from to Gutsy but the upgrade process stalled. So I stoped the upgrade and reboot the system. Then I did
sudo dpkg --configure -a
to continue the upgrade. But now I can't boot with the new kernel (2.6.22-14-386). So I booted with the old one and dpkg --configre -a again. Now I got this:

Judging by the error messages, the source for your troubles is that the update-grub is missing from your system. This leads to configuration errors for the packages that need it and the packages that depend on those packages.

Try to reinstall the package 'grub' (which contains the update-grub script)
