Kubuntu.org upgrade instructions - correct for actual release or for RC?

In http://kubuntu.org/announcements/7.1...se.php#upgrade, one of the instructions is as follows:

Enable the "Recommended updates" and "Pre release updates" repository, close and reload.

Is it true that "Pre-released updates" still needs to be checked now that there's an actual release? After I checked that, my adept wants to download an additional 40 packages, including a new "adept" itself. I noticed that the date in the screenshot was September.

I haven't installed anything yet.

I was never able to get the version upgrade prompt or button until after I checked the "pre-releases" checkbox. It should be noted, though, that the guide on http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading for Kubuntu does not mention the "pre-releases" checkbox.
