tried to upgrade from Kubuntu 7.04 failed

Hi,

Tried to upgrade Kubuntu 7.04 to 7.10 beta through the adept manager and failed. Could not boot Kubuntu anymore. Restored Vista's bootloader everything is fine with Vista.

Do I have to delete Kubuntu partitions before installing Kubuntu 7.10 stable version or can I install over the mess that is already there?

I had problems upgrading, and ended up re-installing from a CD. I think it pays to be anal about some things, so i deleted the old directories, created new ones - making sure the <Format> box was ticked, and everything went swimmingly....
