Info on double boot - XP/Kubuntu

    Hi all,

Where can I find info on how to install XP (or Vista) and Kubuntu on the same computer (on different partions of course...) with double boot?
Which OS should be installed first?

Is there a manual for this somewhere in Cyberspace?

Hi! Just google and you will find a lots of information. Almost all the instructions advice to install Windows first and Linux then, because Linux's bootloader does recognize Windows but not vice versa. Yeah yeah, we shouldn't even need Windows on our computers, but I think my wife still disagrees, I tried to introduce Linux to her but with no success yet...

Windows, IMHO. It's possible the other way around, but you'd better know all of this:

See the psychocats site above -- and there are more links there.

        Thanks a lot!

I am not ready to abandon Windows yet, but who knows........

        Any comments on Compiz, anyone?
As I understand it, it´s run under GNOME not KDE. Am I right?

No, actually Compiz is running great on my Kubuntu 7.10 system. I'm rather surprised at how well it works, given how buggy it was only 3 or 4 weeks ago.
