right click fails on Konqueror

I have just upgraded to Gutsy and i am having weird problem with KDE konqueror. I can right click icons on the desktop, but within folders I cannot successfully right click on files. I have tried using dolphin which works fine.

can someone help me with this one?

Do you get error messages, if you start konqueror in the konsole and right click icons ?
