Tribe 5 doesn't do it for me! (at least the alternate install version doesn't)
The install process missed a chunk of config steps during the last 30% or so of the 'install software' stage, which meant the desktop wasn't installed properly.
Also unlike tribe 4, tribe 5 grub installation process didn't pick up my win xp install - perhaps I will try again later with one of the daily images.
Meantime I will see what other people's experience is like but for now I have gone back to tribe 4 and updated via apt-get from there.

Tribe 5 appears to be working with the Generic Kernel but if I install the Linux-rt package it wont' boot.
Unfortunately for me I need low-latency for the audio stuff I do.
