how do i reconfigure tonight's 58 upgraded packages?

i ran the adept updater icon from my systray tonight. it crashed so i rebooted. X would not start.
I proceeded to login without X and ran the updates as root.
i noticed a lot of packages tried to launch X/KDE configure interfaces during install so I could configure them but of course X wasn't running so they just got installed and flew by.
How do i go back and reconfigure these 58 packages?
I've looked at the man pages for dpkg and apt-get and don't see anything relevant.

i ran the 3 commands on that site, did not get asked to configure anything.
