    error

    Hi ,
When I try to update with synaptic i get the following error message
"E: /var/cache/apt/archives/libkdepim1a_4%3a3.5.7-1ubuntu5_i386.deb: trying to overwrite `/usr/share/apps/kdepim/icons/crystalsvg/22x22/actions/checkedbox.png', which is also in package korganizer" what does it mean and how do I fix it, any and all help appreciated.

    Re: error

Hmmmm -- not sure I've seen that one. However, in a konsole window try this:
    Code:
    sudo dpkg --configure -a
    then

    Code:
    sudo apt-get autoclean
    Code:
    sudo apt-get autoremove
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install

      Thanks dibl
did as you suggested and came up with the following
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libkcal2b:
      libkcal2b depends on libkdepim1a (>= 4:3.5.7); however:
Version of libkdepim1a on system is 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu6.
      dpkg: error processing libkcal2b (--configure):
      dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
      Errors were encountered while processing:
      libkcal2b

        Aha!

Well, I see you posted under Gutsy, a pre-pre-pre-release system, so -- I guess now we know one reason why it's not ready for prime time!

            Re: error

I would assume this is one of many issues that the developers will deal with before Gutsy Gibbon is released in October. You can post the bug on Launchpad if you wish. You can also try the next release of Gutsy, and see if it's been fixed at that point.

... Or just hold your breath for a day or two until with a new package update the problem gets resolved (read: replaced by another one :P) ...
