    Re: amd64 testers needed

I'm running Gutsy AMD 64 and there are several things that I need to report, could you please tell me how to do that?

    For the record:
Adept is not running correctly, failing at the updates downloads. It forced me to run sudo dpkg --configure -a several times in order to download and install the upgrades.
knetworkmanager is not detecting the network card correctly, on kcontrol eth2 is displayed, forcing me to shut down knetworkmanager and disable and enable the card after every reboot.
Firefox claims that it needs a profile to run but everytime that I try to do that it states that I have no permission to create it. Tried Firefox as root and no go.
So far those are the problems that I have found.

        Re: amd64 testers needed

I am ready to test AMD 64 kubuntu (laptop HP dv6305us AMD 64 X2 Turion). Already installed gutsy developer version) and has been used for everyday work.

But what we have to do and how to report problems (and what kind of problems, bugs etc.)

Jonathan, are you still chasing 64bit testers? I have a Lenovo/IBM T61 thinkpad if that helps with testing?

I'm running an Athlon 64 3400+ with the amd64 Feisty right now as my primary machine. I'd be willing to test the amd64 version of Gutsy if there are specifics you're looking for. I might be able to squeeze out a dedicated partition, or add another drive if necessary. (I'd had to get rid of Feisty altogether during the Alpha releases.)

I'd love to run the AMD64 version of Gutsy... but am only interested if there would be a 32bit package in the repos to make all the 32bit only software run. One package, sort of like the Kubuntu-Restricted-Extras package.. maybe call it the Kubuntu-32Bit-extras package or something.
