Possibly, but it would be rather harder. The Playstation 3 is notable in that Sony have intentionally made it capable of running Linux (as they did with the PS2). So there's none of the hackery that's needed with most consoles (well, unless you want to use the full features of the GPU).

Hmm...I guess i'll give yellow dog a try first.
I just want a linux OS on the PS3 that will support every devices on it (wifi, ethernet, audio, video [RSX would be awesome too], bluetooth, etc)
I heard updating your PS3 to a specific firmware (latest from what I heard.... 2.30) breaks native wifi support and you have to do some stuff to make it work again.Comment
