    A couple of problems

Hey, I installed Kubuntu last night, and i have a couple of teething problems, that I'm sure that can be sorted out.

1st off, my sound isn't working. I have a icon on the toolbar, which has a speaker with a cross through it. I had a quick look in Kmix, but couldn't find anything, how would I get it to work.

2nd, my flash in Konqueror isn't working.I downloaded something from the website, and when open it, it just opens a bunch of code in Kate. I then pasted that code into the terminal, and nothing seemed to happen.

3rd off, when i put a DVD in the drive, it opens Kaffne, but i get a "xine error" sayng that there sin't a plugin for the device, where would i get one?

    Many thanks in advance.

EDIT:\\ I tried to search for it by typing "aplay -l" in Konsole, but it says i have no on-board sound card installed (I also have a similar problem on another PC running windows ME). I also had a quic looks at that post on the ubuntu forums, but it doesn't seem to help.
