Printing via "lp -s -h remotehost" does not work with cups

    Hi folks,

    I've got the following problem:

    everything in local network

I have a server which creates a pdf file from a php script and sends this pdf via
"lp -s -h $IP_host" back to the client. This worked for me with gentoo as client os for 2 years without problems. Now I had to switch to kubuntu 7.10 and this function does not work. Local printing works perfectly, testpage can be printed without problems. Only remote printing does not work.

I've added to "/etc/hosts.allow" the following line:

ALL:192.168.0.1 --> IP from the server.

But this didn't seem to help in any way.
I tried to change permissions but nothing works.

I activated browsing and the option in CUPS which should allow printing from internet, but after the cups server restarts the option is still unchecked and doesn't seem to work at all.

I hope somebody can help me with this problem. I searched via google and Forums but i couldn't find a solution.

    thank you for your help...
