SD Card Reader not working

I am not sure What I have to install to get my SD Card Reader to work. I am not new to linux but am new to Kubuntu.

Here is my "dmesg |tail" output:

That all looks right, to me. Did you insert an SD card in it?

Yes, I've been trying to get the SD Card Reader on my HP Laptop to work for years now, no luck. I finally gave up and purchased an inexpensive USB card Reader, and it works just fine. I don't have my laptop booted up right now, but I think the built in card reader is A Texas Instruments, if I remember correctly. Never did find a driver that would make it work in Linux.
