I originally posted this in the help the new guy forum, but I thought it would be more appropriate here. I've recently installed kubuntu 7.10 and also the trousers and tpm_tools packages on a Lenovo T61. The T61 comes with an Atmel tpm chip, but at startup I get the error:
* Not starting TrouSerS TCS daemon (tcsd); no TPM device found.
The TPM chip is enabled in the bios, but I haven't be able to access the chip through kubuntu.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also is there any diagnostic tools that I could use to help clear up this problem? Thanks.
