Hey guys,
I just spent the day trying to figure out a problem I'm having with installing Kubuntu on my old Dell D600. Everything works fine except for the wireless card. I have an aftermarket D-Link DWA-652 card with the Atheros chipset so Madwifi drivers should work, but I'm getting a problem with the card not getting recognized when I plug it in.
The weird part is that the card gets properly recognized when Im using the Kubuntu live CD, but if I boot it into the local install it does not see it.
dmesg shows:
pccard: CardBus card inserted inserted into slot 0
but lspci shows no sign of it....
When I boot live it sees everything just fine, but I cant install Madwifi drivers to get it to work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Boki
