    Genius wireless mini-navigator

I am one of the people that just can't use a touch pad on a laptop. I have an Acer Aspire 5610 running Kubuntu 7.10, current. I picked up a Genius wireless mini-navigator mouse. It's wireless to a USB plug in thumb like device. It works fine and was recognized immediately by Kubuntu. However, it seems to time out after a few minutes of inactivity and I have to hit the reset button on the USB plug and on the mouse itself to get it back. It just freezes on screen and won't move or click. Is this something I can control and maybe set the timer to 1/2 hour rather a couple of minutes? And, where might I do that?

    TIA

Is it bluetooth or some other wireless technology.

    Thanks Dustin
