Configuring Atheros wireless card on Kubuntu 7.1 on IBM thinkpad T60

    Hello Folks,
I am facing problem Configuring Atheros wireless card on Kubuntu 7.1 on IBM thinkpad T60. I installed kubuntu 7.1 yesterday and everything went fine. I am trying to connect to my wireless network but I am unable to do so. Right now in the network propergties I can see my wireless hardware listed but I am not able to connect to it right now.

Can anyone please tell the steps to connect to wireless.

    Thanks

A few questions to help us help you...

What is your network setup (WEP or WPA encryption? How far between your laptop and the access point)?
By "network properties" you mean what, exactly? Are you using knetworkmanager for all this?

If so does your network show up in the list when you right-click the tray icon? (Do any networks show?)

If so what happens when you click it?

What is the output of the shell command "ifconfig"?

I'm writing this now on a T41 over a wireless LAN so have no fear, it's perfectly possible to sort this

I am having a similar problem. I am using knetworkmanager o a T-61. I can connect to an open network and a WEP network but not WPA.
