Could use some guidance and/or assistance. I am a noob.
My MSI TV@nywhere Master PCI TV Tuner is being recognized as a scanner. (/dev/video1) My Logitech QCM USB WebCam is being recognized as a scanner. (/dev/video2) My Brother 8500 MFC I can configure it as Printer and it works fine but it is not being recognized as a Scanner.
How do I get these components that are being recognized but as the wrong components? I can not find any information on setting up my scanner except from the Brother website. What info is available from Kubuntu on scanner recognition and configuration? Where do I look?
I have successfully downloaded and compiled for my ATI Video Card and dual monitors although it took me months to get it working.
Kubuntu Gutsy, Athlon Athlon XP 1.73GH, MSI MS-6380E 1.0 Motherboard, 2048MB memory, 2 WD & 1 Maxtor IDE HDs, 650GB.
NEW: During Post at boot I also see that my sound card is not recognized but it lists my WebCam Driver and I do have sound!?
