    wireless card vanished from lspci

Until this morning, I had ndliswrapper driving my onboard Broadcom wireless card just fine (there had been some teething troubles way back at the start, but it's been perfect since).

This morning, after installing and uninstalling some components of KDE4, the wireless card stopped working altogether. Wrangling with and then reinstalling ndiswrapper has had no effect.

I've just noticed that the card isn't listed in the output from either "lspci -v" or "lspci -n".

Is this a hardware problem now? Or might there be something I can do to fix this myself?

(Just to cover the obvious - there is a switch on the laptop for turning off wireless, but it's in the "on" position. Despite being on, the little indicator LED is red rather than blue, suggesting the card just ain't working.)

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
