    no soundcard detection :(

Hi to all, i just switched from fedora 8 to kubuntu because it seems more friendly, since i am a newby in linux.

well the problem is that kubuntu wont even detect my sound card i have been reading some posts and every one paste the output they get with lspci | grep Audio and i dont even get anything with that command i, funny thing is it worked with fedora, really hope some one can help.

    thanx in advance

    Re: no soundcard detection

When you boot the Live CD, do you have any sound? Is there no sound whatsoever, or is that you can't get music to play, or what?

If it is literally true that the command
    Code:
    lspci
produces a list with no audio device at all, then (a) I'm amazed, and (b) I guess it's back to F8 for you. But, I'll have to see it to believe it!
