    Erratic power button

I'm having trouble getting my Kubuntu 64bit machine to switch off! I'm running Kubuntu version 7.1 and I want it to switch off when I press the on/off button on the case. It used to work before the upgrade but now rarely works and when it does it comes up with a KDE end session requester. As I have a headless box this is very annoying.
How can I get it to switch off without a fight when I press the off button?

Does it just not respond at all or does it hang at the logoff splash?

I think he means that when he presses the power button either nothing happens or it only displays the dialog you get when you click K Menu > Log out...

I'm not entirely sure where to point you. I suppose you could look through System Settings... I'd guess it'd be on the advanced tab. Look for ACPI and the like.
I know exactly where this setting is on Windows, but I haven't seen it here...
