Sony Vaio FS790, how do i get info of what harddrive is not installed?

Hi everyone I have a laptop sony vaio fs790 and would like to know which device wasn't
detected. I have a memory reader, and i believe a firewire? Some crap like that, and that
one slot thingy pc slot? I'm a noob and i would like to know which one works. I don't have nothing
that would use those things. Also I cant use the shortcut, is there something to go around and fix
it? thanks

Well, if you don't have anything that uses a firewire connection, memory cards to 'test', or any pcmcia cards/devices, why worry about it? But, if you want to know if the OS 'sees' them, open a console and type:

sudo lshw > hardware.txt

lspci > pci.txt

lsusb > usb.txt

These will create text files named hardware.txt, pci.txt, and usb.txt in your home directory.

Hey well thanks I guess kubuntu found all my devices on my laptop. Usually when theres some
device that is not install it tend to slow down computers like in windose. But my laptop is running
great. Are you running a laptop? If so what are you using
