    trouble with keyboard and mouse

I'm new with all these linux thing, I installed kubuntu on my computer, and everything goes ok, but sometimes the keyboard and mouse stop working, but the OS continues, still, the only way to temporally resolve the problem is to restart the computer.

    Can someone help me, please?
    thanks

Type of keyboard and mouse? Are they 'wireless', or plugged in? If the latter, type of connection: USB, PS/2, or ....?

One thing you can check, is whether your BIOS has a 'legacy USB' support option. If it does, and it is enabled, try disabling it.
