saa7134 analog no sound but picture

Hi!

I have searched the forums here already but I could not find a post which solved my problem:

Im using Kubuntu 7.10 and I want to watch TV using my TV card (analog). I have already managed to see a picture but there is still no sound available.

I have a seperate partion where Windows is installed and there everything work fine. Furthermore I have already tried watching TV using tvtime, kdetv and mplayer - with all 3 I get a picture but no sound.

v4lctl -c /dev/video0 volume mute on
alsamixer

both did not work as well.


Can anybody please help me?

Wish I could help, but I have the same problem. KDETV & TVTime have great video, but no sound. The sound card works fine watching YouTube, so I think there's something amiss in the TV apps.

Do you also have a medion PC and TV card? I had a look at the TV card and found out its the Creatix CTX946 (CTX946_V1)?

All other sounds do work (Amarok, KDE general,...) - also under Windows Vista everything is ok (except it is Vista :-) )

I have an AverTV card. It worked great under 7.04.
