    Strange Printer Problem

I just installed Gutsy and created a queue for my local HP 4200 Laserjet printer. It works well - too well. When I send a single page print to it, it just keeps reprinting the page over and over again. I have to pull the paper tray and cancel the job from the printer control panel to stop it.

I would have said that there was something wrong with the printer configuration, but I just migrated from OpenSuSE 10.0 and it worked fine there and I haven't done anything to the printer.

Any thoughts on what might be going on with this?

    Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by "created a queue" -- is that the same as "installed the printer"?

      Yes, sorry for the confusion.

Are different drivers listed for this printer when you install it? If so, try a different driver.

Also, you might check that you didn't actually define the printing process as 'qued', meaning, not configured for direct printing.
