Sony Laptop (VGN-S5HP): Hardware volume control

    Hi,

for my Sony Laptop VGN-S5HP the hardware volume controls (Fn-F3/Fn-F4) controls the volume of the headphone but not the overal volume (PCM) and I can't find any setting to change that. So I would like that the hardware volume controls change the PCM sound volume. I remember that I changed settings for Feisty Fawn but I can't find this settings anymore.

In the picture below you can see that there is no "Sony Vaio Laptop" button as in this screenshot http://www.kubuntu.org/docs/images/C...emsettings.png . How can I install this button?

Any idea how I can change the mapping of Fn-F3/Fn-F4 so that the keys influence the PCM settings and not the headphone settings?

    Thank you for any help,
    Werner

There are several 'utilities' available in Adept Manager for laptops. No guarantee they will help you here, but ....

Check Adept Manager for the following:
    hotkey-setup
    klaptopdaemon
    kmilo
    laptop-detect
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007
