Microphone AD1986A doesn't work

I've the Asus A8R-MVP motherboard with the Soundmax AD1986A sound chipset. It has four connectors, 1 S/PDIF, 1 Line out, 1 Line in and 1 Microphone. I can't get any sound from my mircrophone connected to the microphone port. I've checked every settings in KMix and also alsamixer. Channels capture, mic, mic boost is active and volume at full. They only sound I get is background noise. I've tried google and search for any solutions but I can't find anything! Anyone has/had the same problem? Fix?

I'm using Kubuntu Gutsy 7.10.
