sound card not working

    sound card not working

    after install of gusty my sb live soundcard isnt working. it was fine with the dapper programing. is there something i need to turn on or an application i need to download?? thanks for whatever help you can offer

      i have sigmatel and i tried this but it dosnt work... any one able to help me?
      and i tried installing oss and i get this

        Did you try using ALSA, and the troubleshooting guide I linked above? There is an alsa-oss package in the repos, if you actually need oss, but ALSA is the more "advanced" system for sound.

          yes and it dint work... linux thinks i am useing nvidia sound card
