I have a Kensington 67014 webcam. I have been Googling all day and determined that it is based on the Endpoints (formerly Aox) SE401 chipset. It apparently works with video4linux, xawtv, and kopete. There are quite a few references to it in languages other than English, which are no help to me.
I found this web page http://www.gelato.unsw.edu.au/lxr/so...se401.c?a=i386 which seems to have a wealth of information that is far beyond my comprehension.
All my hunting keeps leading back to one website:

And the frustrating quote:
Any help would be appreciated. And please type slow, so I can keep up with you.

The se401 driver is now part of the main kernel tree, updates will be done there! You will find it in the later 2.4 kernels.
